What time is check-in and check-out?

Unless other arrangements are made, check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is 10:00 am.

Are linens and towels provided?

Yes, we provide linens and towels, however we do not provide pool towels.

Can we fish in the pond?

Yes, we ask that you catch and release and you will need to bring any fishing supplies. You do not need a license because it is private property.

What items do we need to bring for our stay?

When you arrive, there will be enough toilet paper to begin your stay, but we advise you bring extra just in case. You will also need to provide toiletries, paper towels, paper products, dishwashing liquid, washing powder, light cleanig supplies, trash bags (we recommend Contractor Clean-up bags), coffee, coffee filters (large 12 cup filters), bug spray, sunscreen

What is there to do on property?

During the summer, most never leave the pool. In addition, you can fish, play volleyball/badminton, nature walks, play pool, go to the Grist Mill and pretty much anything outdoors. Groups bring footballs, baseball gear, horseshoes, binoculars, bikes, kayaks, paddleball equipment, and corn hole boards. We have had potato sack races and even a group created Olympic games. The property is great for spending time with friends and family and reconnect with each other.

Is Hunting allowed?

No, sorry. We do not allow any guests to hunt.

Where is the nearest grocery store?

Publix is 25 miles away and Ingles is 21 miles away. We have a few gas stations 4 miles away that carry some staple items.

Where is the nearest restaurants?

We are pretty remote, so most groups decide to use our wonderful kitchen, but in case you would like to eat out, about 5 miles from property, there is a great BBQ restaurant (Holcombs BBQ), they are only opened Friday and Saturdays however. In Greensboro/Lake Oconee area there are many other restaurants. You can also request a list of amazing caterers that some of our guests have used.

When is your pool open?

Our pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. We do not allow night swimming, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Do I need a password for the WiFi?

No, we have an open connection. If you do not feel comfortable with an open connection, we also have a few ports that are password protected and the password will be provided at check-in.

Can I use my GPS for directions?

I strongly urge you not to and provide all your guests with the directions you receive with your contract. Newer GPS will locate us, but older ones will not.

Will I have cell service?

It’s hit & miss. Usually AT&T and Verizon work without any problems. Other carriers may experience problems. We do have a phone at the lodge where you can be reached in an emergency. The number is 706-467-9664.

Will someone be available to address any problems?

Yes, anytime we have a group stay with us, someone is available 24/7 to help with any problems or concerns.

Do you have a gas or propane grill?

We have gas and charcoal grills. You will need to provide propane and charcoal.

Do you have a firepit?

Yes, there is a large fire pit right outside of the lodge. You will need to provide firewood.

What if there is a power outage?

No problem at all, we have a large generator that powers the whole lodge. It automatically turns on in the event of a power failure.
